# Web Design across Wales

> Welsh businesses come to dijitul for custom websites, bilingual Welsh and English builds, booking sites for holiday lets and online shops for farms and makers. We design and build everything remotely from Mansfield, with previews shared online. Websites start from £250 + VAT, and ecommerce shops start from £750 + VAT.

The thing that sets web design for Wales apart is language. Public bodies follow the Welsh Language Standards, and plenty of private businesses publish in both languages too, either because customers expect it or because they supply the public sector. A bilingual website is not a second copy of each page bolted on. It needs a translation plugin such as WPML or Polylang, a language switcher visible on every page, matching URLs and correct hreflang tags (cy and en) so Google shows each visitor the right version. Contact forms, confirmation emails and cookie banners need both languages as well, and fonts must include characters such as ŵ and ŷ.

Most of the population sits along the south coast around Cardiff, Newport and Swansea, where professional services, media and creative businesses compete hard in local search. North East Wales, around Wrexham and Deeside, has a strong manufacturing base, with Airbus building aircraft wings at Broughton and a supply chain around it that needs clear B2B websites.

- Holiday lets, campsites and attractions in Eryri, Pembrokeshire and Gower: booking websites with deposits and seasonal pricing
- Farms and food producers: WooCommerce shops with delivery days and click-and-collect
- Manufacturers in Deeside and Wrexham: capability pages and quote forms
- Public sector suppliers: bilingual sites built to WCAG 2.2 AA
- Cardiff creative and media firms: portfolio sites that load quickly

Tourism businesses in rural Wales face two problems at once: visitors searching on a phone with weak signal, and big booking platforms outranking them for their own name. A fast, light site with an accurate Google Business Profile and direct booking helps win back some of those commission-free bookings. We have no Welsh office. Every project runs from Mansfield over video calls, with a staging site your translator can check before anything goes live.

### Do you build bilingual Welsh and English websites?

Yes. We set up a proper bilingual structure with a language switcher, separate URLs for each language and hreflang tags for cy and en. Forms, emails and the cookie banner are translated too. You or your translator supply the Welsh text, and bilingual builds are given a fixed quote.

### Can you build a booking website for a holiday let in Wales?

Yes. We build booking-led sites with availability calendars, deposits, seasonal pricing and booking confirmation emails, or connect your existing booking engine or channel manager. The aim is to take more direct bookings and pay less commission to the big platforms.

### Do you work with Welsh businesses remotely?

Yes, every Welsh project is run remotely from our base in Mansfield. You see designs and a working staging site online, give feedback in one place, and get a training session over video at the end. You never pay travel costs for a website build.
