Price: From £500 + VAT

## Problems this solves

- Your marketing team waits on a developer for every landing page
- Your current site can't match the designs you've been sent
- Your blog or case studies are hard-coded and painful to update
- You inherited a Webflow site with messy class names and nobody can edit it safely
- You're unsure which Webflow plan you actually need

## Key facts

- Webflow site plans (webflow.com/pricing, October 2026): Basic $15 and Premium $25 a month billed yearly, in USD
- Basic has no CMS, 300 static pages and 10 GB bandwidth; Premium adds the CMS with 20,000 CMS items
- Ecommerce plans: Standard $29 (500 items, 2% transaction fee), Plus $74 and Advanced $212 a month billed yearly
- Hosting, SSL and a global CDN are included in the site plan
- Code export gives HTML, CSS and JavaScript, but CMS content, ecommerce and forms don't work once exported (Webflow help centre)
- Webflow runs 0.8% of all websites (W3Techs, 18 October 2026)

## What Webflow is

Webflow is a hosted visual development platform. Designers lay out pages visually, but what they are really doing is writing HTML and CSS with real classes, flexbox and grid. The output is cleaner than most drag-and-drop builders, and hosting runs on a content delivery network, so pages load quickly around the world.

It also has a proper CMS. You define collections, such as blog posts or case studies, with fields, then design one template that every item uses. Your team adds content in the Editor without touching the layout.

## Webflow pros and cons

| Pros | Cons |

| Design freedom close to hand-coded sites | Steeper learning curve than Wix or Squarespace for whoever builds it |
| Clean, semantic output and fast hosting | Plans are priced in US dollars, so UK costs move with the exchange rate |
| Structured CMS for content teams | CMS item limits per plan; very large sites need higher tiers |
| No plugins to update or patch | Limited server-side logic; complex features need third-party tools |
| Built-in 301 redirects and SEO fields | Exported code loses CMS, ecommerce and forms, so moving away means a rebuild |

## Webflow plans and costs

Webflow restructured its site plans in 2026. According to its pricing page, checked in October 2026, all prices are in USD, per site, per month:

- **Basic, $15 billed yearly.** For simple sites with no CMS: custom domain, 300 static pages, 10 GB bandwidth.
- **Premium, $25 billed yearly.** Adds the Webflow CMS with 20,000 CMS items, site search and form file uploads, with bandwidth add-ons available.
- **Ecommerce.** Standard at $29 (500 items, 2% transaction fee), Plus at $74 and Advanced at $212, all billed yearly, with 0% transaction fee on Plus and Advanced.

Monthly billing costs more. Workspace plans for teams are charged separately. Most small business sites with a blog need Premium. Our build fee, from £500 + VAT, is one-off; see our prices.

## How we build in Webflow

- **Content model first.** We list the collections and fields you need before designing, so the CMS fits the way you work.
- **A class system that lasts.** We use a consistent naming convention and reusable components, so future pages don't turn into a tangle of one-off styles.
- **Responsive by breakpoint.** Every page is checked at Webflow's desktop, tablet and mobile breakpoints, with tap targets sized for thumbs.
- **Performance.** Images in WebP or AVIF, lazy loading below the fold, and restrained interactions so Core Web Vitals stay green.
- **Accessibility.** Semantic headings, alt text fields in the CMS, visible focus states and colour contrast checked against WCAG 2.2 AA.
- **SEO.** Dynamic titles and descriptions from CMS fields, redirects from any old site, and schema added via custom code where needed.

## Moving to or from Webflow

We move sites to Webflow from WordPress, Squarespace and hand-coded builds. Blog posts and other structured content can be imported into CMS collections by CSV, then checked item by item. Old URLs are mapped to new ones in Webflow's 301 redirect settings before the domain switches.

Leaving Webflow is harder. Its help centre explains that code export, available on paid workspace plans, produces HTML, CSS, JavaScript and assets, but CMS content, ecommerce, forms and site search don't work in the exported code. Collection lists show their empty state. CMS items can be exported separately as CSV and imported elsewhere.

That is not a reason to avoid Webflow, but it is worth knowing before you commit, just as you would weigh the export limits of any hosted platform.

## Who Webflow suits

Webflow fits marketing teams that publish often and care about design, startups that want a site they can change weekly, and agencies handing a site to an in-house team. It is a good middle ground between a page builder and a custom-coded site.

It suits less well if you need complex member areas, a large shop, or want to avoid paying in dollars. In those cases WordPress or Shopify are usually a better fit. Get in touch and we will help you choose.

## What you get

## FAQs

### How much does Webflow cost per month?

Webflow's pricing page, checked in October 2026, lists site plans at $15 a month for Basic and $25 for Premium, billed yearly, in US dollars. Ecommerce plans start at $29. Monthly billing costs more, and team workspace plans are separate.

### Can I edit a Webflow site without coding?

Yes. Your team uses the Editor to add blog posts, case studies and other CMS items, and to change text and images on pages. Layout changes are done in the Designer, which we can train you on or handle for you.

### Is Webflow good for SEO?

Yes, technically. It produces clean HTML, fast hosting, editable titles and descriptions, automatic sitemaps and built-in 301 redirects. As with any platform, rankings still depend on useful content and good internal linking.

### Can I leave Webflow later?

You can export HTML, CSS and JavaScript on paid workspace plans, but Webflow's help centre says CMS content, ecommerce and forms don't work in exported code. CMS collections can be exported as CSV. In practice, leaving means rebuilding the site elsewhere.

### Webflow or WordPress?

Webflow suits design-led sites with a hosted CMS and no plugins to maintain. WordPress suits sites that need lots of features, full ownership of the code and lower ongoing costs. We build on both and recommend based on your team and goals.
