One-Page Website Design UK

dijitul designs one-page websites for UK sole traders, new businesses, events and single-product brands. Everything sits on one scrolling page with clear sections, a sticky call or enquiry button and jump links to each part. A custom one-page website costs from £250 + VAT, and it can grow into a multi-page site later without starting again.

Sound familiar?

  • You need to be online this month, not next quarter
  • You only offer one or two services and five pages feels like padding
  • You have a business card and a Facebook page and nothing else
  • You're launching a product or event and need one clear page
  • You want a site you never have to think about maintaining

Key facts

  • One-page websites from £250 + VAT
  • Clear sections with jump links: services, about, reviews, contact
  • Sticky click-to-call or enquiry button on phones
  • Very fast to load with little to maintain
  • Google Business Profile and Search Console set up
  • Can be expanded into a full site later

When a one-page site is the right choice

One-page sites work best when you have a simple offer and a clear next step. Good fits include:

  • Sole traders with one core service, such as a dog groomer, mobile mechanic or personal trainer
  • New businesses that need a credible presence while they find their feet
  • Events, launches and pop-ups with a date, a place and a booking link
  • Single product brands sending people to buy on another platform
  • Portfolios for creatives with a tight body of work

They work less well if you offer many distinct services and want to rank in search for each one, because Google ranks pages, not sections. In that case our small business or brochure website options are a better fit.

How we structure a single page

A one-page site reads top to bottom like a short conversation. A typical order:

  1. Header: what you do, where, and a call or enquiry button
  2. Services: short cards, each with a sentence or two and a price guide if you offer one
  3. Why choose you: experience, accreditations you genuinely hold, guarantees you actually offer
  4. Work or gallery: real photos, compressed as WebP or AVIF so the page stays fast
  5. Reviews: linked to your Google reviews
  6. Contact: form, phone, email, area covered, opening hours and a map link

A sticky menu jumps to each section, and the current section is highlighted as you scroll. On phones a bar at the bottom keeps call and enquire within thumb reach.

Making a single page findable

One page has fewer chances to rank, so every part has to work. We give the page a precise title and meta description, use a single H1 with clear H2 section headings, and add schema.org markup such as LocalBusiness with your address, phone and hours. Your Google Business Profile, set up as part of the package, often does more for local searches than the site itself, and the two are linked.

Because a one-page site carries little code, it is usually easy to meet Google's Core Web Vitals targets: web.dev sets good thresholds at 2.5 seconds for Largest Contentful Paint, 200 milliseconds for Interaction to Next Paint and 0.1 for Cumulative Layout Shift. We keep the page well inside them by lazy loading images further down the page.

Price and what happens next

A custom one-page website is covered by our Starter package from £250 + VAT. That includes the design, build, contact form, click-to-call, Google Business Profile setup, basic SEO foundations, Analytics and Search Console. Domains and hosting are extras, listed in your quote; hosting is available from £1 a day + VAT if you want us to look after it.

When you outgrow one page, we split the sections into full pages using the same design, so you are not paying to start again. Additional pages are £45 an hour + VAT or covered by moving up to a package. See pricing.

Getting the most from a single page

With only one page, small details carry more weight. A few things we do on every one-page build:

  • Each section gets an ID so you can share a link straight to it, for example your prices or contact details.
  • The page title names your service and area, because it is the one title Google has to work with.
  • Contact appears more than once: in the header, mid-page after your services and in full at the bottom.
  • Content is kept tight. A one-page site that scrolls forever loses people; we aim for something a visitor can skim in under a minute.
  • Sections are planned to split cleanly into full pages later, so growth doesn't mean a redesign.

If you have a strong portfolio, see portfolio website design for a layout built around your work.

Platforms for one-page sites

For a site that rarely changes, a static build is the fastest and cheapest to run, with nothing to update. If you want to edit text and photos yourself, we build on WordPress with a locked layout so you can't break the design. Running ads rather than looking for search traffic? A landing page may suit you better. Get in touch and we'll tell you which.

Frequently asked questions

Is a one-page website good for SEO?

It can rank well for one main search, such as your core service and town, especially alongside a strong Google Business Profile. It struggles to rank for many different services, because each needs its own page. If that matters, a multi-page site is better.

How much does a one-page website cost?

With dijitul a custom one-page website costs from £250 + VAT. That covers design, build, contact form, click-to-call, Google Business Profile setup, basic SEO foundations, Analytics and Search Console. Domain and hosting are listed separately in your quote.

Can I add more pages later?

Yes. We design one-page sites so each section can become its own page using the same styling. Extra pages are £45 an hour + VAT, or you can move up to the Business package for up to 15 pages.

What's the difference between a one-page website and a landing page?

A one-page website is your main site, built to be found in search and cover everything a visitor needs. A landing page is built for a specific campaign or ad, usually with no navigation and a single action to take.

Can I update a one-page site myself?

On a WordPress build, yes: you can change text, prices and photos in the block editor. A static build is faster and needs no updates, but changes are made by us at £45 an hour + VAT.
